QLD Guinea Pig Refuge Open Days

Qld Guinea Pig Refuge does not have an actual 'Refuge'. All our
guinea pigs live with foster carers in their homes.

The Refuge holds open days on the first and third Saturday of every month at the Albany Creek Scout Den, 12 James Cash Court, Albany Creek.

Open days provide an opportunity to meet our guinea pigs on foster care, adopt, visit our QGPR Piggy Shop, and purchase food and hay. You can also have your guinea pig groomed at our Piggy Parlour, which offers nail trims, mite and worm treatment, bathing (during warmer months only), grooming and clipping. Don't forget to ask about our loyalty programs!

Please note that adoptions of our guinea pigs are only available at open days and require prior approval and bookings. To organise this, please complete an adoption application form.

By adopting from Qld Guinea Pig Refuge, not only will you find the perfect pet for your family, you will also be offering a home to a small animal that may have been abandoned or mistreated.

At Open Days you can purchase our homemade piggy food, browse commercial piggies food brands, beds, hides, bedding, cages, hides, grooming needs and everything else.

All proceeds help keep our doors open and pay our bills.
